Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn (born in America) is an American actor. She is most famous for her character Skyler White in Breaking Bad, an AMC Drama series Breaking Bad for which she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actor in an Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. Alongside her roles as Martha Bullock and Jean Ward as well, she was a part of The Practice. Anna Gunn grew up in Sante Fe New Mexico and fell in adore with acting while attending the Preparatory School. The late 70's, her family relocated to Ohio. She studied theatre at Northwestern University, and spent an entire semester at the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her career with Chicago-area theaters for a few years. Then she moved to film and television. Anna had her first big part in the role of Arden in the TV show Down the Shore. Down the Shore aired 29 episodes from 1992. Anna continued appearing in films as well as TV shows such Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and others up to the late 1990's. She was then placed in The Practice as Jean Ward. The role was played by Martha Bullock in Deadwood for two seasons during the 2000s. Skyler played her part in Breaking Bad. Sully was the Deadwood film and a few other films were also starring her. Gunn has also appeared on the stage to play in the David Schwimmer's production Sex With Strangers. In addition, she played in Numbered Day, which is a series of audio dramas. The romance that exists between Walter White and his wife Skyler is often the backbone of the plot in Breaking Bad with the strained tension in their relationship, and eventually its demise mirroring the same arc of Walter White's final years of his life.
